How to Remove Old Vinyl Graphics Without Damaging the Surface

Every Restoration Starts With Removing the Old

Whether you're restoring an RV, removing faded boat graphics, replacing dealership decals, or stripping old commercial fleet lettering, one thing is certain—removing aged vinyl graphics can quickly become one of the most frustrating parts of any restoration project.Years of exposure to sunlight, rain, temperature changes, and road debris cause vinyl graphics to become brittle while the adhesive underneath hardens over time. Instead of peeling away cleanly, graphics often break into small pieces, leaving behind stubborn adhesive that can require hours of scraping and cleanup.Fortunately, there's a better way.

Meet GraphXOff™

GraphXOff™ Gel is a biodegradable, low-odor vinyl, adhesive, and paint remover developed to simplify the removal of old graphics and decals from properly prepared surfaces. Its unique gel formula clings to vertical surfaces, allowing the product to remain where it's needed while it penetrates both the vinyl and the adhesive system.

Instead of relying on excessive scraping or harsh chemicals, GraphXOff™ helps soften the material so it can be removed more efficiently using surface-safe tools.

Why RV Graphics Are So Difficult to Remove

Constant UV exposure, temperature fluctuations, moisture, and oxidation gradually dry out vinyl while weakening its adhesive bond. Fiberglass gel coat may also oxidize over time, creating a chalky surface that contributes to peeling and cracking. GraphXOff™ Gel was designed to help make this restoration process easier while reducing unnecessary scraping and cleanup.

Basic Application Steps

  1. Clean the surface.

  2. Protect surrounding areas as needed.

  3. Apply GraphXOff™ Gel with a natural bristle brush.

  4. Allow adequate dwell time.

  5. Remove softened material using a surface-safe plastic scraper.

  6. Thoroughly wash the area with soap and water before refinishing or applying new graphics.

Recommended Accessories

  • Natural bristle chip brushes

  • Surface-safe plastic scraper blades
